ARCHITECTURE VS. CIVIL ENGINEERING

Any students at Tech that are enrolled in architecture or civil engineering program. I am going to be attending from fall of 09. I need to know if I want to build a career in building commercial properties such as buildings or houses or any structure that are occupied by tenants. Which program would be more beneficial for my purpose. What are the differences, what are the cons and pros. Basically I want to know the difference in the two that are related to building. Any suggestions or information will be appreciated.

Re: ARCHITECTURE VS. CIVIL ENGINEERING

I used to be  a civil engineering student, before changing my major, and I can tell you the best way to figure out which major is right for you is by shooting an email to the specific departments you are interested in. I know the academic advisors for civil engineering were really helpful with me when I was trying to pick a major, and I would imagine they would be more than willing to help you out as well. I'd just say look up their contact information on their respective wesbites and see if you can get a hold of someone that way!
