I'll probably have a lot of stuff to bring with me when I move in next month; is it possible to ship the stuff to school directly? Or do I have to bring everything myself?

You should (or will soon) have information regarding your PO Box # at Georgia Tech. You can ship it there. The mailroom will hold your package for you and all you have to do is pick it up. Only problem is getting it from the mailroom to your dorm.. so I'd suggest having your parents there with a car (if possible) or making friends with your PL quick and asking him/her for a favor in getting your stuff to your dorm.
