2nd try at college

I was a mathematics major at UGA until 2002.  I have a little over 90 credit hours.  I have been in the military the last five years and I want to major in ME starting fall 09.  I am pretty sure my math and science GPA does not meet the minimum (a few C's on the ol record).  What do I need to do ensure my exceptance or am I out of luck.  I have taken math all the way up through diff eq. so going to another schoool and bringing my GPA up is not an option.  Thanks for your advice.

Re: 2nd try at college

To competitive for admission, a student must meet or exceed the minimum GPA requirements for admission.

Based on the US 4.0 GPA system, the minimum GPA requirement for most majors is 2.7 for Georgia residents, 3.0 for non-Georgia US residents, and 3.5 for international students. Because admission to Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science is highly competitive, applicants to these programs must have a GPA of at least 3.0 for Georgia residents, 3.5 for non-Georgia US residents, and 3.8 for international students. The GPA requirement applies to both the overall GPA (all courses taken at all schools) and the GPA of an applicant's math and science courses. Further, all applicants must be in good standing during the last term of enrollment at their prior institutions
